New platform for WelcomeStranger.com
WelcomeStranger.com, the social network for young travellers has been re-launched using the Martech M.Social Enterprise platform.
Originally launched in January 2008, Welcomestranger.com struggled to attract members and had poor navigation and functionality. The company approached Martech to rebuild the website using the latest social networking technology with their latest M.Social platform.
Today sees the new site go live. The site now features the ability to share content, an internal mail system, live chat and a selection of privacy and moderation tools. In addition to the new functionality, Welcomestranger.com features photos, blogs, friends, groups, events and competitions.
Existing members of the original site have been easily migrated over to the new platform. Welcomestranger.com and Martech envisage a faster take up of the new site and are aiming for 10,000 members within the first three months.
