Case Study: Dennis Publishing – Evo Magazine

Approach

Evo Magazine is one of the biggest performance car magazines in the world. To support the physical publication, Martech created the Evo online community, a dedicated social network for like minded readers to connect, interact and engage with each other and the publisher.

Martech migrated the original forum content and members to a full social network including a new forum section, blogs, photo and video uploads, ratings and commenting.

The community is added as a channel to the existing Evo.co.uk website however to incorporate community content into the main website, Martech delivered an API which provides any community member with the ability to comment and rate any content on the main website.

Additional advertising space was added to M.Social platform to allow Dennis Publishing to run more adverts on pages, increasing exposure and impressions.

Outcome 

  • Increased member base by over 10,000 members
  • More than tripled previous advertising revenue
  • Created a highly active community
  • Vast amount of user generated content contributed on a daily basis
  • Increased exposure with cross platform exposure to Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
